South Campus Move

Church, God’s provision for the growth of Centre Street Church has been evident all throughout the history of our community of believers. Currently, we have 5 campuses all around the city. Two of these campuses don’t have a permanent facility and we have been praying to the Lord for a miraculous intervention. Just as we raised the funds for our BUILD projects, God answered our prayers and gave us an additional facility that is going to make a great new home for our South Campus!

At the beginning of this year, the leadership team of Lakeview Baptist Church approached us with an unsolicited proposal to entrust us with their church building…at NO COST! Praise be to God!

As of June 2025, CSC will take possession of the building and will initiate upgrades to the facility. The goal is to move our South Campus congregation from Quarry Park to Lakeview this coming fall, but the exact moving date hinges on the number and complexity of the renovations required before relocating to the new campus.

Some of the upgrades to the building include:

  • Roof renovations
  • Upgrades to aging electrical system
  • Repairs to wastewater system
  • Upgrading current sound system and AV system
  • Seating changes
  • Adding washrooms and accessibility features
  • Repainting and recarpeting

As we evaluate everything that needs to be done on an aging building, we estimate these upgrades could cost approximately $2 million.

Our vision for this new building is to house a missional community that shines the light of the gospel in the South part of Calgary, with the intention of introducing people to Jesus and help them become fully devoted followers of Christ. Please keep this new BUILD project in your prayers as you consider partnering with us with your time, finances, and prayers.

We will provide updates as new information becomes available.

Fourth Floor: Central Campus Expansion

The shell of the fourth floor was built with the long-term picture in mind. During the pandemic and some of the most challenging moments of our construction journey, CSC leaders prayerfully balanced radical steps of faith with careful discernment.

We therefore took a phased approach constructing the shell of the 4th floor to further complete at a future date.

Who knew we would need to complete the fourth floor so quickly after constructing our Central Campus expansion? We didn’t. God did.

The need: Since our expansion opened, the number of students attending classes offered by the New Canadian Hub went from 299 to 405, and the classrooms continue to book up throughout peak moments during the week.

Completing the fourth floor will add classrooms and free up ministry space in the northeast and southeast corners of the current building as staff move into workspaces on the fourth floor.

Thank you for your sacrificial giving – past, present and future. We look forward to seeing how God uses what He enables you to give!
