September 2019 Northwest Campus construction progress and updates
We have made some amazing strides in our Northwest Campus construction this summer. We are currently in the midst of:
- pouring concrete walls, the basement slab & the main floor slab;
- progressing site grading in what will be the parking lot, and;
- installing underground utilities.
On Sept 22 we had a small group of leaders and Northwest Campus representatives come to the site and carry out an important tradition in our church. We have hundreds of stones with names written on them by you, our members of our congregation. We prayed for the individuals represented on those stones and poured them into the foundation of the Northwest Campus. This event was captured on video, which we will be sharing on the weekend of October 5/6th.
Our concrete pouring will be finalized in mid October. As we advance on these important construction milestones we ask that you be joining us in prayer.
Please be praying for:
- Gods presence on the construction site.
- Dry weather so much can be accomplished before freeze-up.
- Safety for all workers.
- Completion of the concrete work, underground utilities, and site grading.
- Our Northwest neighbours including the county of Rocky View.
- That God would help us to manage the budget well.
Mark your calendars: BUILD more room for God Special Offerings!
To ensure we continue to meet our financial targets, we will be providing another special opportunity during this thanksgiving season to give a special gift to BUILD more room for God – above and beyond our regular tithes and offerings. We will be holding BUILD Special Offerings on Thanksgiving weekend (October 12/13) and the following Global Ministry weekend (October 19/20th), where we will also learn about how God has been using our BUILD project funds to advance construction projects around the world.
