How God moved through the journey of Luisa from Columbia who came to our New Canadian Friendship Centre for English Classes but found so much more – God and her identity in Him!

“I arrived as an immigrant in Canada and started looking for where I could learn English. I went to the New Canadian Friendship Centre for help. But there was no room for me to take the ESL class at the time. Instead they found me a place in Len’s Bible study group. I thought this was a good opportunity to pray with others in the midst of my life that was full of uncertainty and despair. I look forward to coming to NCFC each week, just for the prayer at the end of class. I began to understand a little about the work of God and who I was to Him. This was a little strange for me because I come from a family with a strong catholic background in Columbia. I went to mass and did good works. Now, I had to humbly accept that I did not know Him and that good works alone would not save me… my life is changing dramatically, and now I put my trust in God”
